At the Blue Door Theatre, we blend the art of poetry with the spontaneity of improv in our unique show, Poets Up. We invite talented poets to craft original works inspired by the improvisers' scene work, while our improvisers create scenes based on the themes and emotions conveyed in the poems. 

When a poet completes their piece, the bell rings, signaling the transition to a new round of scenes influenced by the poetry. Join us for an unforgettable evening of creative collaboration, where words and wit collide in unexpected ways. 

Poets Up is the show where verses take over the improv and the improv becomes poetic.

You may purchase tickets at the door but seats are not guaranteed. 

This show is rated for mature audiences. Think of it like a PG-13 or light R-rated movie. There might be some adult themes, language, or innuendo, but nothing extreme. Families are welcome to bring teens at their own discretion, depending on comfort level. It’s all about playful improv with a little more freedom.

Our box office opens a half-hour before showtime. We provide concessions consisting of snacks, soda, and water. 

Refund Policy:
Refund request will only be accepted 24 hours prior to show day. After that time, refunds will not be issued. We can transfer your ticket to another date. Refunds are not issued on transferred tickets. Please note, service fees are not refundable.
